The Lavens are a family band playing a mixture of original material and classic covers. While the music falls well within the Americana genre, Niko's songs have a bluesier touch while Rachel's tend toward folk.

Niko plays lead guitar while Rachel plays rhythm, Dad (Andreas) plays bass guitar, Mom (Jana) sings harmony vocals and lead on blues, rock, and country covers. Sal Guajardo "Laven" plays drums and we frequently are joined onstage by friends playing lead guitar, accordion, fiddle, and harmonica.
